Last week, Deborah Roil, our Director of Compliance, spent time at Beauty Banks’ Croydon warehouse, helping pack boxes of essential hygiene products to be sent to local charities and seeing first-hand the vital work Beauty Banks does to support communities experiencing hygiene poverty.

Deborah said,

“I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the staff and volunteers who work so hard to ensure basic hygiene products reach people that need them the most. The organisation and structure behind Beauty Banks is impressive, and it was great to see how the products purchased from our grant are sourced, stored and distributed to those who need it .”

Beauty Banks is a charity that operates nationwide through four warehouses in Brighton, Croydon, Dundee and Winsford (Greater Manchester). Thanks to players of The Health Lottery the organisation has received a £75,000 donation to give thousands more people access to hygiene essentials like soap, toothpaste, and deodorant. These are everyday items most of us take for granted, but that no one should have to live without.
