Our first Impact Report is out and we’re delighted to share it!
We started to distribute funds raised by players of The Health Lottery in January 2025. Over our first year we distributed £1,500,000 of funds to 75 charities in Britain.
These donations ranged from one-off grants of £500 to a £242,000 grant over 2 years. Most of our donations have been between £10,000 and £25,000, with four at £75,000 each. We know that our funding is making a difference because we are fortunate enough to have been able to meet people we’ve supported in person.
We take seriously the need to distribute the funds raised by players of The Health Lottery in a way that’s fair, transparent and impactful. We know the frustration felt by voluntary organisations as they attempt to navigate the myriad of conditions and restrictions that funding bodies often present. This is why in 2026 we will continue to award grants in a multitude of different ways. We aim to distribute at least £1,000,000 through open, closed and community nomination rounds.
Over the past 12 months, we have been warmly welcomed by many different charities and feel immensely proud of all The Foundation has achieved.
